Looks like Bush has already given up on California, or at least he is willing to let go of it really easily. For a man who is so strong on national security, he sure is letting his Californian constituents down.

Immigration, and that includes illegal immigration, is a federal issue. It is Washington's job to protect this country from foreign invasion. This is the ball that Bush has dropped. To date he has been unwilling to stem the influx of illegal immigrants, meeting with President Fox at his Crawford Ranch.

Okay, perhaps the problem is too big, but don't abandon us completely.

California houses thousands of illegal criminals, people who are here because the fed won't do its job. It seems fair that they help with the bill; Bush, however, is dropping fed aid to help out CA. Huge mistake. Why? Because this allows Barbara Boxer an open target to help clinch her reelection.

Please, Mr. President: if you are going to give up on California, please don't make it more impossible than it is to oust our worthless representatives.
